It’s Ramen weather y’all. So grateful for cozy food to end long, cold days; for comfort food to lift spirits and heal our souls. Enjoying all the small things that make big differences in our day to day lives is the way to go. Life is too short for a bad meal xx

You get to surround yourself with people you love and who truly inspire you. They don’t hold you back or judge your goals and ambitions. They encourage you, defeat your doubts, and offer ways they can help. You are loved for your authentic self and there is no forced pleasing or pressure to be liked. They already love you no matter what. Treasure those friendships and come together more xx

Practice gratitude every morning to ground yourself. Remember that you have so much and no matter what comes your way that day, you are content. You have come a long way and it’s important to reflect and be proud of yourself after each step. So much to be grateful for- appreciate it now xx

What book is everyone currently reading? 📕

We can only really be happy when we enjoy the present step we are in, the present moment, the present. Always practice gratitude to ground yourself and take time to recognize that you have come a long way already. Would the little you be proud of where you are now? Be aware of the pressure, the fast pace, the hustle we are forced to be in and use your power and control to slow it down for your own sake. Understand how you measure happiness & find peace and contentment where you are now because every part of the journey is amazing- if you don’t stop to look around every once in a while, you might miss it xx

Growth doesn’t always look like a steady incline- sometimes it goes down, back, or sideways- but you are still on the path of growth. 🌿 Be graceful with your self while you are out doing the thing! There are good days and bad days; there is rapid growth periods and stagnant lows sometimes. Just keep working at it and being kind to yourself. Respect the time when you need more rest and take advantage of the times where you have passion to keep building. This journey is yours- don’t compare it to the construct xx

I promise you, your true friends never think you are a bother or an inconvenience. Those are your own negative thoughts trying to keep you down to gain power. Defeat them by trusting your true friendships and enjoy the fact that you are enough, you are worthy, and you are a treasure to those around you- spread the wealth xx

About Me

Hello there! My name is Kaylee Hawley and I am an illustrator represented by Radish House Agency and an art teacher in Southern California.

I use my bright personality mixed with the inspiration from my kids, nature, love for travel, memories made with friends and family to create my cheerful illustrations. All my work comes from an optimistic heart and from there I aspire to unlock imaginations, teach valuable lessons, and inspire other young artists.

I love to play with simple lines, colors, organic shapes, and textures to keep joyous child-like atmospheres. My hopes are to share my values of happiness, kindness, and self improvement through story telling images and reach audiences of all ages with laughter, nostalgia, or any emotional connection.

When I am not drawing or teaching, I am most likely watching a film, adventuring outdoors with our dog, Lola, going to see local art, or traveling some place new with my husband.
